Bummis, one of the most trusted names in cloth diapering, has just come out with a new cover that is amazingly supple and forms beautifully to any baby shape. Chubby or thin, short or tall, this cover fits like a dream. With wide elastic at the waist and legs, it gives a soft secure fit over any type of diaper -- flats, prefolds, or fitteds. There are no gussets at the legs because the elastic is nice and wide and the cut is generous enough. Pad-folded flats or prefolds can simply be laid in or use a fitted for an exremely leak-proof diaper. All Bummis products are made with great attention to detail in their own Montreal factory. The fabrics and components they produce with are all sourced in Noth America and are guaranteed lead, phthalate, and BPA free. Comes in 5 great colors in size Newborn (6-10lb) Small (8-17lb) Medium (16-30lb) and Large (30+lb).

Bummis Super Lite versus Sweet Pea One-Size

I purchased one Sweet Pea One-Size Cover and one Bummis Super Lite Cover, as I was unsure if I preferred Velcro or snaps as a fastener. I expected the quality to be approximately the same, but I was pleasantly surprised. While the Bummis Super Lite Cover was much as I had anticipated, (an acceptable cover for a reasonable price), the Sweet Pea One-Size Cover far exceeded my expectations. The PUL was thicker, the cover felt sturdier every way I pulled it, and the majority of the inner surfaces were wipe-able. By comparison, the Bummis Super Lite was quite "lite," the PUL feels almost fragile, and it has a rather large area of PUL lining that faces inwards. The cover is still completely waterproof, but the inside is not wipe-able like the Sweet Pea cover, meaning it will need washed more often. All together, I felt that the Bummis Super Lite was a good, affordable cover; but the Sweet Pea One-Size Cover was a GREAT, affordable cover.
